Greater Rochester Chamber Releases 2018 Business Advocacy Agenda
March 19th, 2018
Last week, the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce released its 2018 Business Advocacy Agenda.
Their annual agenda reflects the public policy issues that have been identified by the Chamber’s members as priorities for the Greater Rochester/Finger Lakers Region and the state as a whole.
Key issues identified by the Chamber include supporting Finger Lakes Regional Development Council agenda priorities; opposing new taxes, fees and assessments that increase health insurance costs; tax reform; improving the state’s workforce development efforts; and continuing efforts to reduce the costs of Workers’ Compensation.
The Greater Rochester Chamber is an important part of Unshackle Upstate, and their views help inform our advocacy work in Albany on behalf of taxpayers and businesses to improve the state’s business climate and make Upstate New York a better place to live, work, raise a family and operate a business.
