The state Democratic and Republican parties will be holding their respective nominating conventions to designate candidates for governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general and comptroller on May 23 and 24. The GOP will meet in Manhattan, and the Democrats will meet on Long Island.
On May 24, the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce is holding a Policy Matters event, a networking reception which will feature the Rochester and Finger Lakes region’s New York State Senate and Assembly members.
On May 24, the Assembly committees on judiciary and Health are holding a public hearing “to examine the issue of compensated gestational carrier surrogacy agreements.”
On June 8, the Greater Binghamton Chamber of Commerce is holding an Eggs & Issues program to discuss the impact of higher education in the business community and illustrate the importance of Higher Ed as an economic and societal driver in Broome County and the state.
The 2018 state legislative session is scheduled to end on June 20.
The state Board of Elections holds its next meeting on June 25.
