Albany’s Progress is Upstate’s Crisis

ALBANY, NY – “With just three legislative measures, our leaders in Albany have wreaked havoc on the Upstate economy.

The advancement of new mandates on farm labor, energy and expanded prevailing wage requirements will devastate Upstate communities for years to come. These radical policies will undoubtedly drive up the cost of living and drive out more families who simply can’t afford to live in New York anymore.

• It’s not enough that more a million New Yorkers have fled the state over the last decade.
• It’s not enough that New York has the highest tax burden in the nation.
• It’s not enough Upstate job growth has essentially flat lined.
• It won’t be long before Upstate New Yorkers say ‘enough’ to Albany and leave the Empire State for good.”
