Response from Unshackle Upstate Regarding Governor Cuomo’s State of the State Address in Buffalo

“We’re in the process of reviewing the numerous proposals advanced by Governor Cuomo but we’re certainly encouraged by the governor’s support for ride-sharing services in Upstate New York. Upstate residents, visitors and businesses will all benefit from greater access to safe, reliable and modern transportation options.

We hope to see more proposals from the Governor and the Legislature that will address high taxes, burdensome mandates and regulations, and other factors that contribute to New York’s harsh business climate. As we’ve seen from recent Census Bureau data, New Yorkers are following opportunities to other states. If there’s any hope of reversing this troubling trend, Albany must embrace a bold, pro-growth agenda this year.”
