Statement from Upstate United Regarding New NYISO Report

The following statement is attributable to Justin Wilcox, executive director of Upstate United 

“We strongly encourage the members of the state’s Climate Action Council to read today’s new NYISO report. This in-depth document shows that power in Upstate New York is predominantly produced by zero-emission sources. Upstate energy consumers should not be forced to bear the burdens of misguided mandates and problematic policies. As considerations about New York’s energy future continue, we urge Climate Action Council members and elected leaders to focus on reality, not rhetoric. Solutions are supposed to solve problems – not create more of them.”
