Unshackle Upstate Endorses Floyd Rayburn for New York Senate

Unshackle Upstate endorsed Conservative Republican Floyd Rayburn today in his bid to be the next New York State Senator from the 54th district.

“I couldn’t be more proud of an endorsement,” said Rayburn.  “This group has grown quickly because they advocate for the same issues everyone I talk to is clamoring for:  lower taxes, mandate relief, pension reform, lower state spending.”

Unshackle Upstate is a pro-taxpayer/pro-business organization comprised of more than 80 business and trade organizations representing 70,000 companies and employing more than 1.5 million people.  The group is committed to promoting job growth across Upstate New York through regulatory reforms and lower taxes – just like Rayburn.

Each year, the 213 members of the New York State Legislature introduce thousands of legislative bills that will determine state spending and affect the taxes paid by all residents of New York.  While some are well intentioned, they have a cost, a cost that’s hurting taxpayers and the private sector.
