Unshackle Upstate Responds to 2018-2019 New York State Budget

“Hardworking taxpayers across the state should be relieved to know that nearly one billion dollars in new taxes were not included in the final state budget.

We appreciate the efforts of the Senate Republican Conference in rejecting those increases which would have compounded New York’s massive tax burden. This should send yet another message that working families across the state simply can’t afford more taxes.

While we’re disappointed that long overdue regulatory reform and relief was excluded from the final agreement, we look forward to working with the Legislature and the Governor in the months ahead to advance pro-growth policies that will help overburdened employers, taxpayers and the Upstate economy.”
