Upstate United Applauds Micron’s $100 Billion Chip Plant Investment in Central New York

“This historic $100 billion investment by Micron will create good-paying jobs and provide a major boost to Central New York’s local economies. We applaud the collaborative efforts of Senator Schumer, Governor Hochul and Onondaga County Executive McMahon as well as Micron President and CEO Sanjay Mehrotra. This investment shows what’s possible when leaders put politics aside and embrace a pro-growth mindset.

The mission to rebuild the Upstate economy and revive our Upstate communities is far from over; but Micron’s $100 billion investment is a big step in the right direction. We encourage Governor Hochul and all elected leaders to prioritize policies and projects that will get Upstate growing.”
